Q: When is check-in for Individual Skills and High Performance camps?
A: Overnight camper’s check-in on Monday from 7:30 am- 8:30 am. Commuters check -in from 8:00 am- 8:45 am. In the lobby of the Greene Complex Sports Arena.
Q: When is pick -up for Individual Skills and High Performance Commuters?
A: Monday through Wednesday, 3 pm,& Thursday 2 pm.
Q: I am thinking about registering my daughter for volleyball camp and want to know which camp to register her for?
A: Individual Skills camp is open to campers from 9-15 years old and will be grouped from beginners to intermediate level players. High Performance Camp is open to any player who has completed the 9th grade and is looking to get college level exposure. Camper must be Class of 2017-2020.
Q: Since there are all different ages and skill levels, how will my daughter be grouped at your camp?
A: All campers will come together according to age and skill level and moved around on the first morning of camp to find the appropriate grouping.
Q: If my daughter is just beginning to play volleyball, which camp will be best for her?
A: The Individual Skills Camp is the only session appropriate for beginners as it focuses on skill development and technique and your daughter will receive more personalized instruction. Individual Skills Camp places campers on courts with campers of similar skill levels. Individual Skills Camp include beginners, intermediates and advanced players.
Q: Can my daughter stay on campus overnight?
A: Yes, there are housing options offered during select weeks for all campers ages 12 and up. Check the Camp Registration page for all available overnight sessions.
Q: Are meals provided?
A: For overnight campers, all meals are provided beginning Monday at lunch and ending Thursday at lunch. For Commuters, lunch is provided Mondaythrough Thursday. For Teams Camps, meals are provided for Overnight Campers, Thursday dinner through Saturday lunch. Commuters meals include dinner Thursday evening and lunch Friday and Saturday.
Q: Will there be a camp store again this year?
A: Yes, money cards are sold at check-in for the camp store. Snacks, drinks and memorabilia are available for purchase. Overnight campers can also order pizza to be delivered after the evening session through the camp store.
Q: My daughter has been invited to attend High Performance Camp and is flying into PBI airport; when do you suggest we schedule her flight and transportation to and from the airport?
A: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org before booking flights for information. We offer limited shuttle service to and from the airport and will provide detailed information depending on individual needs. There is also an early check-in on Sunday available to long distance campers.
Q: My daughter is staying overnight and is interested in attending PBAU. Will she have time for a campus tour and how do we schedule one?
A: Campers have free time in the dorm from 3-5pm. We offer campus tours through our Admissions Department on Wednesday at 3pm for students that sign up at check-in.
Q: If my daughter is staying overnight what items should she bring to sleep in the dorms?
A: Twin bed linens and/or sleeping bag; pillow; toiletries; towel; water bottle; practice clothes and shoes; alarm clock, and money for snacks
Q: My daughter is signed up for overnight camp; will there be any supervision after the night session?
A: Yes. Female Coaches will be assigned to each hall. The campers will not be permitted to roam around after curfew.
Q: My daughter is staying overnight, can I take her off campus?
A: Yes, but only with a signed Parental Consent Form. You must make prior arrangements for pick-ups and drop-offs during check-in. Because coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs can be burdensome we ask that you limit requests to emergencies.
Q: When is the last session on Thursday?
A: Campers need to be picked up at 2:00 p.m.
Q: What will my daughter need to wear/bring to camp?
A: All campers should wear shorts or spandex, t-shirts, athletic shoes, knee pads and a water bottle.
Q: My daughter signed up as a commuter; what time do I need to pick her up?
A: Please pick her up at 3:00 p.m. daily. There is not an alternative to extend the commuter camp at this time. The last day of camp (Thursday) ends at 2 pm.
Q: Can parents come and watch during camp?
A: For our camper’s protection and our liability we ask that non-participants (parents/ siblings) come on “Parent Day” which takes place on Thursdayfrom 1 pm- 2 pm.
Q: Is it possible to make any changes to my daughter's registration form after it is submitted?
A: Yes! All you need to do is login to your Camp Network account. Click here to access your registration form, pay any remaining balances, or see any camp documents.
Q: Can I change the week or session I signed my camper to attend?
A: There is limited court space but if there is availability we will gladly change it for you. Please email email@example.com for changes in camp sessions/ dates.
Q: When is the balance due on camp sessions?
A: A reminder email will be sent 2 weeks prior to the camp session. Please pay balance no later than two weeks prior to check-in.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Below is our policy based on the date you request a refund. Prior to July 1st you may email firstname.lastname@example.org to request cancellation and refunds based on the following:
· Prior to June 1st- Full Refund Less $50 (Administrative Fees)
· June 2nd-June 30- Refund Less $150 Deposit
· On or after July 1- No Refund
